We went on an extraordinary Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon, and it outperformed anything that we could ever dream of. The instant we boarded that ship, opulence wrapped itself around us in tranquil ease. Everything was arranged with a thought for our comfort and happiness.

The ship was a palace on the sea, adorned with good taste decoration, up-to-date facilities, and unmatched service. Our suite provided us with a haven as we took in the most spectacular views of the ocean from inside our room, where every modern amenity one could envision lay at our fingertips. Hours upon hours were spent on our private balcony, sipping champagne while watching the sun submerge into the sea.

Nassau, Bahamas

In Nassau, we took to the lively streets, popping in and around local markets filled with handcrafted souvenirs of every sort. We visited the stunning Atlantis Resort and spent some time enjoying the aquariums and water parks. The white sand beaches were so soft, a perfect place to catch sun or swim in turquoise waters.

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

From there, we sailed to the island of St. Thomas, where we spent some time lazing around on the beautiful Magens Bay Beach with its stunning scenery and calm waters. We also went on a cable car to Paradise Point for one of the most dramatic views of the island, harbor, and seas around us. The local shops had everything from jewelry to island artwork, thus also providing a venue to get unique mementos.

St. Lucia

Our next adventure was in St. Lucia, with that island's lush, green landscapes and famous Pitons. We hiked up to the Tet Paul Nature Trail for great views of volcanic mountains and colorful flora. A stop at Sulphur Springs allowed us the luxury of natural hot springs-the best way to spend the day after a long exploration.

Barbados

In Barbados, we spent time in the picturesque capital of Bridgetown, which is listed with UNESCO as a World Heritage Site; historic sites were toured, with great fun and busy local markets. The famous beaches of this island, such as Crane Beach, boasted soft sands and great surf, perfect for a romantic afternoon.

We used every minute of the luxurious spa and wellness amenities on board: hours in thermal pools, rejuvenating massages, and a host of beauty treatments. Indeed, it was a serene atmosphere-a perfect escape from everyday stresses.
